One Expiry Board, Two Dates, and $2.7bn of Yen Either Side of Spot.
Two publishers are carrying the same FX option expiry board for the New York cut with two different dates on it.
One wrote it on 30 October and headed it "Next Business Day, 2 November"; the other published it this morning at 09:20 UTC under a headline calling it "todays NY cut: 3rd November 2026". Five of the seven lines are identical to the last digit of the notional — USD/JPY 157.00 at $1.5bn and 158.00 at $1.2bn, EUR/USD 1.1200 at EUR 901mln and 1.1250 at EUR 654mln, USD/CHF 0.8300 at $952mln — while EUR/USD 1.1150 grew from EUR 2.7bn to EUR 3.2bn and 1.1175 from EUR 660mln to EUR 978mln, which is one board observed twice rather than two boards. We then tested the date field: the same publisher's page titled 13th October 2026 was published on 14 October, a day late, where today's is a day early, so the field is wrong in both directions and both headlines say "today's". Evidence puts the board at today without settling it — and it matters less than it looks, because both candidate days carry a US release cluster in the same 15:00 UTC minute as the cut, so the sizing answer is identical either way. The yen board is live, with $2.7bn in a hundred-pip corridor around a 157.64 to 157.80 spot; the euro board is spent, 88.6 per cent of EUR 5.733bn struck below a 1.1237 session peak. And we refuse to publish today's high: one reader says the range topped 158.79, another says 157.99, and the first publisher's own 0.2 per cent daily change puts the pair at 157.80 to 157.88 off Friday's three closes. At 157.99 the 158.00 strike was missed by a pip; at 158.79 it went hours ago.
