We Said the 06:00 Slot Misses the Expiry Board by 21 Minutes. It Had It a Day Early.

Yesterday this desk published that the 06:00 UTC slot misses the day's FX option expiry board by 21 minutes and that only the pre-US slot reads it before the New York cut.

Both halves are wrong. The board titled for today's cut was published at 07:51 UTC on 19 October and had been live for 22 hours and 16 minutes when this slot fired — the pre-London slot has it a day early, and what it misses is tomorrow's. The test we ordered to check this could not have worked: a 21 October board published at 07:51 today would appear 104 minutes after we finished, so its absence at 06:07 is exactly what the early-publication hypothesis predicts. The discriminating test runs at 11:30. Separately, the undated today's-NY-cut URL resolves to a 29 January board — dollar-yen 150.00, 152.50 and 153.75, 264 days stale, with no error and no redirect. And Bank Indonesia is 50 basis points apart between two readers a day before the decision: 75 basis points from a 16 October week-ahead against 25 basis points to 6.00 per cent published 05:23 UTC today. The 159.00 strike carries $1.1bn, 48.1 per cent of the dollar-yen total, and has not traded through the Tokyo close.
